Collection: MTA Youth Trout Seminar

When: June 22nd, 2019  and August 24th, 2019 (8-10 AM) 

Where: Rogue River, Rockford Michigan (details provided when registered)

Cost: FREE (donations encouraged and 100% will go to charity outlined at  event!)

Registration: Send an email to michigantroutaddicts@gmail.com with details regarding how many children are interested in participating (parent must stay for supervision). You may also sign up the morning of the event, but risk the event being full. We have a maximum of 15 students per session and the event is first-come-first serve.

Details: Come down to the river's edge and enjoy a morning learning about the trout species of Michigan and how they live and interact in the systems they call home! Take part in a quick tutorial regarding trout fishing and appropriate handling techniques for catch-and-release trout fishing, and then take your shot at catching one of the 3 different trout species that live in the rogue river system! 

30 minute presentation/interaction session

30 minute setup/tutorial, education on conservation

1 hour fishing! (Gear donated by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources)
